The little sunflower of our lives

Amalia is the joy of our lives. She is happiest first thing in the morning when we go to get her from her crib. When she sees me, she gets so excited, you think she's going to jump out of her pajamas. She's a little roly poly, as we dress in at least five layers so she keeps warm and toasty through out the night (especially considering we turn it down to 60 F). She's recently started talking, babbling rather, and Joseph swears she said a rough version of Kristen the other day, after her Aunt Kristen had come over to our house. While I think that's rather optimistic, she does show incredible amounts of interest in the people and things around her. Definately alert and intelligent, Joseph's hoping for a Hermoine (you have to be a Harry Potter fan to understand that reference) in the family. She finally has two teeth, on the bottom, which is much earlier than either of my boys (Asher was nearly 10 months before he got teeth!). She's tried oatmeal and cheerios, but she mostly likes mom's milk for now. She sits up now and is content to play with her baby books. If she's fussy she's either: hungry, tired, or has a dirty diaper. God knew I needed her after my two boys....

She sure is cute! Just like her mama! Girls are the best ever! Until they turn two. Hopefully your little girl won't be like my little girl and change into this two year old monster that yells no all the time and kicks and bits her brother. But she's still my cuddly lil' girl and I love the snuggle time we do get!
